Discussion Questions: Luke 24:1-12

  1. What is more important? The death of Christ or his resurrection? (see 1 Corinthians 15:3)
  2. Why is the resurrection of Jesus of first importance (along with his death and burial)?
  3. Who does Luke present as witnesses to the resurrection in 24:1-12?
  4. Jesus told his disciples he would be raised from the dead. Why weren’t the disciples expecting Jesus to rise? Why did God permit their ignorance?
  5. What comfort does the resurrection of Jesus bring you now? What comfort do you expect it to bring when the day of your death draws near?
